The IB Business and Management course covers 5 key business topics (plus one additional topic for High Level Students)
- Business Organisations and Environment -– includes the need for organisations, different types of organisations and their objectives and the different environments in which organisations operate.
- Human Resources – includes the importance of leadership and management, communication and motivation, and the influence of organisational culture in achieving organisational objectives.
- Accounting and Finance – explains the sources of finance, and importance of sound financial management through budgeting. Includes the key financial statements and tools used by a business to manage its finances.
- Marketing – the importance of effective marketing in achieving key business objectives and in responding to the changing environment.
- Operations Management – including key production methods, production planning and project management.
Business Strategy ( High Level Only) - gathers together and synthesizes business ideas, concepts and techniques from the 5 main course topics
